Women and girls are at the heart of advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Their leadership, participation and lived experiences are essential to driving progress across the global goals, from education and health to climate action, peace and inclusive economic growth. Yet despite important gains, millions of women and girls continue to face barriers to opportunity, safety, representation and decision-making, limiting both individual potential and collective progress.

At the same time, a new generation of young women leaders, creatives and advocates is challenging stereotypes, reshaping narratives and mobilizing communities and using their platforms to drive positive change. Representation matters because diverse voices and perspectives help create more inclusive solutions while inspiring others to see themselves as agents of change. This conversation will explore the critical role of women and girls in advancing sustainable development, the power of authentic representation and how young people can move from awareness to action in support of a more equitable and sustainable future.
