GBBC Blockchain Central UNGA

The Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) will convene its sixth annual Blockchain Central UNGA alongside the UN General Assembly in September, 2023.

This year, GBBC Blockchain Central UNGA will take place in New York City, to bring together thought leaders and changemakers across blockchain, government, technology, and business industries to examine how we can empower blockchain powered solutions to accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD)

The ICSD is a forum for academia, government, civil society, UN agencies, and the private sector to come together to share practical solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Parallel sessions, taking place virtually on September 19, include over 300 oral and poster research presentations in all time zones, and the plenary sessions, taking in-person and online on September 20, will feature UN leadership, heads of state, and other high-level keynote speakers and panel discussions.

Devex @UNGA78

On Sept. 19-21, Devex will host a series of events in New York during Global Goals Week.

Devex will convene leaders on a range of issues including global health, food systems, climate, financial inclusion, education, humanitarian response, and gender. They will also cover the roles of government, businesses, and philanthropy in funding the financial gap as the development community continues to drive progress on the Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainable Development Impact Meetings

As the world struggles to rebuild in the aftermath of the global pandemic and in the face of a challenging economy, geopolitical fault-lines and the deepening impact of climate change, progress towards the SDGs has been slower than required to achieve the timeline laid out in 2015. Forum of the Future: Future of Sustainability

We are close to the point of no return. Forum of the Future is a youth-led think tank for co-creating solutions addressing the world’s most pressing environmental issues.

To celebrate Global Goals Week, the Future of Sustainability forum will curate an intergenerational “think” and “do” programming to drive collective action towards sustainable development. Let us restore our Earth’s vitality together.

Goals House UNGA

Goals House will be at Tavern on the Green to convene heads of state, business leaders, NGO’s, activists, thinkers and entrepreneurs to drive action and impact towards the Global Goals. This year promises another busy program with partners, including Bloomberg, HSBC, Bank of America, (RED), Google, Community Jameel, Holcim, Mastercard, Patch, Reckitt, IUCN, Youth Climate Justice Fund, the Gates Foundation and Bayer already lined up to host events, with many more conversations in progress.
