High-level Launch Event of European Union-United Nations Gender Initiative
Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in the world today and a major obstacle to the fulfillment of women’s and girls’ human rights and to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The event will announce a new global, multi-year partnership between the European Union and the United Nations to eliminate violence against women and girls.
