LaLiga and Global Goals World Cup / EIR are joining forces to introduce a new female football league and scoring system with local implementing partner Rise for Good. Each team will play for a Global Goal and are scored in five point categories per match. The first game is taking place in Jordan.

Through conversations with investors and development sector leaders, we will confront the financial gap and discuss innovative and tech-enabled solutions that could change the status-quo.

GBBC Blockchain Central UNGA

The Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) will convene its sixth annual Blockchain Central UNGA alongside the UN General Assembly in September, 2023.

This year, GBBC Blockchain Central UNGA will take place in New York City, to bring together thought leaders and changemakers across blockchain, government, technology, and business industries to examine how we can empower blockchain powered solutions to accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD)

The ICSD is a forum for academia, government, civil society, UN agencies, and the private sector to come together to share practical solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Parallel sessions, taking place virtually on September 19, include over 300 oral and poster research presentations in all time zones, and the plenary sessions, taking in-person and online on September 20, will feature UN leadership, heads of state, and other high-level keynote speakers and panel discussions.

Sustainable Development Impact Meetings

As the world struggles to rebuild in the aftermath of the global pandemic and in the face of a challenging economy, geopolitical fault-lines and the deepening impact of climate change, progress towards the SDGs has been slower than required to achieve the timeline laid out in 2015. To respond to these challenges and to revive momentum on the SDGs, the Forum will host communities of purpose, business leaders, policymakers, civil society and entrepreneurs for a series of impact-driven dialogues.

Better Together World Congress 2023

Co-creating and co-collaborating on our collective future is an important step in our global recovery. How can we advance an intergenerational approach towards Agenda 2030? Join youth from around the world as they present their real-life impact through building intergenerational initiatives.

Co-designed by youth from 10+ countries, this World Congress will feature SDG innovation showcases, SDG focus groups and SDG network events.

Systems Change Summit 2023

Efforts towards solving problems have often proven ineffective when they do not change the system that keeps recreating the same problems. Through in-depth research, youth globally are designing organizations which can help systems discover legitimate and effective pathways for change.

The Summit will showcase research case studies, focus groups, and interactive workshops exploring the nexus of organizations, problems, and systems.

ESG School Symposium 2023

To strike a balance between sustainability and profitability, the adoption and implementation of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks into future economic blueprints is essential.

ESG knowledge and tools should be made accessible and available to all, including youth. ESG School Symposium will feature workshops, panels, and presentations by ESG advocates who envision a world where international investment contributes to sustainable development.

Goals House UNGA

Goals House will be at Tavern on the Green to convene heads of state, business leaders, NGO’s, activists, thinkers and entrepreneurs to drive action and impact towards the Global Goals. This year promises another busy program with partners, including Bloomberg, HSBC, Bank of America, (RED), Google, Community Jameel, Holcim, Mastercard, Patch, Reckitt, IUCN, Youth Climate Justice Fund, the Gates Foundation and Bayer already lined up to host events, with many more conversations in progress.

The SDG Summit Curtain Raiser organized by the UN Foundation aims to set the stage for the SDG Summit in September 2023. This event is all about unlocking intergenerational power to work with and for young people, the changemakers of today and tomorrow, to influence the course of global action towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It’s a chance to share your perspectives and ideas with influential policymakers, and young champions as they take the world stage at the SDG Summit. It’s an early preview into the SDG Summit program, and the opportunity to speak your truth and make an impact.

An evening of storytelling from researchers working at the forefront of SDGs 5, 7 and 10, brought together by Springer Nature and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) for the UN Science Summit.

Young Think Tankers Pitching Contest

Southern Voice is excited to announce its first Young Think Tankers Pitching Contest. After a review of nearly 300 applications, ten young think tankers have been selected as the contest’s finalists. They come from ten different countries across the Global South. Forum of the Future: Future of Law

For youth, the future of law is human and is focused on innovating legal development, practice, and implementation to collectively catalyze broader system change. This think tank was formed to help youth understand the latest industry developments, key market trends, recent technology changes, and how to succeed in the law industry. Initiatives promoting intergenerational dialogue and action in this area will be featured at this forum.

Forum of the Future: Future of Equality

To eradicate poverty, we must aspire towards full equality. As a youth-led think tank, Future of Equality actively evaluates and develops impact initiatives and public policy proposals relevant to addressing, preventing, and understanding poverty and inequality. This forum will present evidence-based recommendations for better research, data, and evaluation to support organizations in government, philanthropy, and the community to achieve equality.

International Day of Peace Youth Observance

The United Nations commemorates this year’s International Day of Peace Youth Observation as a hybrid event. Participants will interact with young leaders and activists to inspire youth involvement in creating a more peaceful world. This year’s theme is Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals. It is a call to action that recognizes our responsibility to foster peace by contributing to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Watch the event on UN Web TV.
