Global Week to #Act4SDGs – Latin America & The Caribbean
For the sixth consecutive year, MY World México is co-hosting the Global Week to #Act4SDGs (17-28 September) for Latin America and the Caribbean. The Global Week aims to drive collective action, mobilizing key stakeholders from all sectors to drive change while reminding world leaders that people around the world are doing their part to accelerate progress on the SDGs. UNITAR Youth Ambassador Asia Pacific Program Launch

2021 SDG Business Forum
Hosted on the third day of Uniting Business LIVE, 22 September, the SDG Business Forum – co-hosted by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), the UN Global Compact and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – highlights companies that are using their influence as a positive agent of change in their local communities and across the world. Now in its sixth year, the Forum is a flagship event which has transitioned well into the virtual era, securing more than 13,000 attendees from 120 countries in 2020. Past SDG Business Forums have fostered public-private dialogues, catalysed new partnerships and alliances, and explored innovative business solutions to accelerate sustainable development.

Global Citizen Live will bring together world leaders, artists and champions from public and private sectors and philanthropy. This monumental event marks the next step of our Recovery Plan for the World campaign.
Sustainable Development Impact Summit
For over a year, countries have struggled to address a pandemic that respects no borders, destroys lives and livelihoods, and deepens pre-existing global challenges like inequality, climate change and education. With less than a decade left to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, the fully virtual Sustainable Development Impact Summit 2021, hosted alongside the United Nations General Assembly, will bring together global leaders from diverse sectors, disciplines and geographies. Ensuring the world exits the pandemic stronger than it entered it will only be possible if leaders work together across sectors and borders to share and deploy know-how, innovation and promising approaches and accelerate the recovery.
Toward a Global South Agenda in Open Data and Public Information
We will discuss a paper produced by CIPPEC´s Monitoring and Evaluation program, which focuses on open data on three levels: inside countries, between subnational governments; between these and national governments; and comparing Latin America with Canada, as an exemplary case.
We want to stimulate knowledge on open data publishing standards and improvement strategies, and promote a strategic alliance in the Global South for open data standardization.

We urge people and organizations from all sectors to rethink the five areas of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership to undertake actions that reinforce their message and inspire.
