The SDG Challenge Miami is a student competition that delivers a transformational journey to mobilize companies, organizations, universities, and students to advance the UN SDGs and contribute to the region’s sustainable growth. The Challenge serves as a platform to activate college students to critically think about present-day sustainability topics and stimulates action to work together with leading companies in South Florida.

Planet Positive 2030 Miami

Accountable Impact in collaboration with IEEE, the world’s largest Technological Association focused on Advancing Technology for Humanity, Miami Dade College Earth Ethics Institute is launching Planet Positive 2030 Miami. Miami community members will come together to Imagine the Future We Can Build Together for how a “Planet Positive” Miami will look in 2030 in alignment with the UN SDGs.

KIDsforSDGs Annual Impact Meeting 2024

AIM 2024 celebrates the organization’s global membership reaching over 100 countries. Co-curated by youth from 20 countries, the event will focus on the intersection of environment, health and development.

The theme for 2024 is on the battle against microplastics and its impact on people and planetary health.

Together, we can AIM higher! Experts from World Health Organization and UN Food and Agricultural Organization will lead the session.

Global Goals World Cup in Amman

Welcome to the world’s first activist 5v5 football tournament. GGWCup is an all-women 5v5 football tournament for the Global Goals. To qualify as a team, you have to choose one of the 17 UN Global Goals to play and take action for. Details and match day schedule will be revealed soon.

YOUNGA Forum

This fall, BridgingTheGap Ventures is organizing the inaugural YOUNGA™ Forum, making history as the first-of-its-kind global youth town hall using VR and XR technology. Through an inclusive, forward-looking youth-driven dialogue, YOUNGA will connect young people directly with influential decision-makers and industry leaders to co-create solutions for a more inclusive, sustainable world.

From September 28-30, 1,500 Youth Delegates from around the world will be participating in 35+ Innovation Masterminds, hosted by partners.

Global Solutions Forum

SDSN’s Global Solutions Forum brings together sustainable development experts from around the world to showcase how they are implementing local initiatives that are advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2020, SDSN will take this initiative to the next level, with an innovative event alongside the United Nations General Assembly and the International Conference for Sustainable Development to showcase the eight best solutions coming from SDSNs National and Regional Networks.

Climate Week NYC

As the first year of the climate decade draws to an end, Climate Week NYC, taking place September 21-27, will be the major opportunity in 2020 for those with the power to halve emissions by 2030 to showcase amazing climate action and find ways to do more.

In order to make climate conversations accessible to all, Climate Week NYC welcomes virtual events hosted from anywhere in the world to ensure that climate action can still take place. From virtual ocean odysseys and climate ballets to sustainable investment workshops and TED talks, Climate Week NYC is full of possibilities.

SDG Action Zone

The SDG Action Zone is the foremost collaborative space for engaging world leaders and emerging leaders to supercharge and accelerate solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Over the course of three days during the UN General Assembly on 22-24 September, the SDG Action Zone will convene leading thinkers, actors, creators, and activists through frank debate, challenging discussions, inspiring showcases and interactive exhibitions to drive the exponential change so needed for people and our planet.   

A fully virtual SDG Action Zone has the power to create a more transparent, open, and inclusive UN General Assembly The programme will be crowd-sourced through a call for sessions, talks and creative content from people and key actors around the world. 

A combination of live broadcasts and online sessions, the SDG Action Zone will provide space for deeper conversations, collaboration and experiences on three core areas for accelerating action on the Goals: PeoplePlanet and Partnerships.

Concordia Annual Summit

The world as we know it is changing, and now more than ever before, global connection is essential if we are to address today’s uncertain future. This five-day 10th Annual Summit will provide a non-partisan platform for world leaders to share their vision in an open, transparent, and inclusive forum. Crucially, it will prompt those hard, but necessary, conversations with heads of state, CEOs, NGO executives, and change makers, but also with those directly affected by the issues causing division across the globe.

International Conference on Sustainable Development

The International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) provides a forum for academia, government, civil society, UN agencies, and the private sector to come together to share practical solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ICSD brings together professionals from the private sector, academia, government, and civil society, along with students from the world’s top universities. They welcome participants from all sectors and experience levels.
