Putting Equity Back Into Our Economy: Making the Green Economy Work for Everyone

We need to put people at the heart of our climate transition. We need real, serious plans and action. Political policies must promote prosperity for all people. Business strategies must support all of society. The rewards of investing in people, equity and justice are clear.

This session will focus on setting targets for future job and skill access; scaling up money for clean infrastructure, resilient food systems, and smart technologies; rethinking how we invest in a fairer, greener, and cleaner global economy; and shifting political and business strategies from debate to delivery.

Model United Nations Debate – SDG 9

This Model United Nations debate, taking place on September 24, 2022, will focus on the question of providing accessible and affordable internet access throughout developing regions. The requirements to join are that you have ability to log into Zoom, that you are high school aged (ages 14-18), that you are able to conduct 4-6 hours of preparation prior to the debate, and that you agree to MUN Impact’s Code of Conduct.

The systematic integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into investment strategies, and investment decision making across asset classes, has exploded. Asset owners around the world were early adopters of sustainable investment commitments, taking leadership roles—in their capacity as fiduciaries—to advocate for the achievement of long term, sustainable, risk-adjusted returns, consistent with their fiduciary duty.
