Global Goals Week at Expo 2020 Dubai

For the first time in its history, Global Goals Week leaves the UN General Assembly and comes to life at Expo 2020 Dubai. Through more than 20 special events, a host of unforgettable visitor experiences, and inspiring activations for all ages and interests, Expo 2020 Dubai will be bringing together partners, activists and advocates from around the world to mobilise and accelerate momentum on the Global Goals as we enter the second year of the Decade of Action.

Global Goals Community Activity Day

Madrasati will launch a Global Goals Community Day for students, teachers and parents to promote SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 5 Gender Equality. This SDGs Community Day will be full with interactive awareness sessions for teachers and parents about SDGs, art sessions for students and tele-match games for all to promote essential life skills (teamwork, leadership, collaboration, etc.) to contribute to inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.

This event will focus on approaches that guarantee that children affected by armed conflict do not remain invisible in the post-COVID-recovery & ensure that children’s rights are respected and their needs addressed. Based on children’s real stories, this event will highlight how the combined effects of the COVID-19 pandemic & armed conflict have exposed children to greater threats, exacerbated vulnerabilities & worsened the protection needs of children, & discus how to address it.
