For the 4th time in a row GGWCup will play in New York City to celebrate the power of sport for the Global Goals during the UN General Assembly Week. GGWCup is a 5v5 football tournament and the teams qualify by choosing and taking action for one of the 17 Global Goals. GGWCup NYC Final 2019 will be no 14, and we have a lot to celebrate: 4,000 women have played since 2016 and have produced more than 22,500 actions for the Goals - some have even changed laws. We will transform the SAP Next-Gen’s breathtaking event space on the 48th floor into a skyhigh football pitch overlooking Manhattan. We will make room for spectators, food, and music. Alongside the games we will feature Goals House Panel discussions and a photo exhibition sharing the team’s actions and Goals.
